Peoplestring let us down

Hi I want to apologize for Peoplestring because of what they did to me and all my downline 140 of them from mymailboxincome they did not pay out any money that was due me or my downline and closed down without even a email to their members or a video explaining what was going on with their company. I am deleting my youtube video about Peoplestring and Mymailboxincome Today the reason I am deleting mymailboxincome too is it simply is not living up to its word that everyone makes money in this system I did not or my 140 downline members. I believe it was because of the Hype about making money with Peoplestring for free so members did not want to upgrade in other stages or steps in the system.and I did not want any part in Mymailboxincomes new MyTrialBux because I do not want to complete offers to make money.

The Correct Order To Tuneup Your PC

The first step to tuneup your computer
The first step to tuneup your pc should be to scan and get rid of any malware on your computer, malware being viruses, trojans, worms, rogue software and any keyloggers. The tools you use to do this should consist of your main anti-spyware, antivirus software, and one or two other malware cleanup software programs like malwarebytes anti-malware or super-antispyware. The second scan should be in safe mode with networking and with malwarebytes ant-malware run the update first then do a full scan which might take a few hours depending on how large your hard drive is. The second part of your pc tuneup should be to clean the registry and cookies on your pc I use Ccleaner which is free and will do a very good job of cleaning and is safe to use, some registry cleaners can leave your pc in a non bootable state. The last step I take is to defrag the hard drive in safe mode with Ultradefrag this program is free also and even has a built in boot time defrag which you can enable in the settings then reboot your pc, also when you defrag run it in Optimize my hard drive mode it will move your files that are used the most to the fastest part of the hard drive so they start up faster.

The Weapons against Computer Malware

The first weapon against computer malware is operating system updates, because if you don't keep it updated there will be security holes that the bad guys can attack you with. The second weapon against computer malware is program updates, using a free tool like Secunia PSI personal software inspector will allow you to update your programs with ease and its free for personal use, security flaws in software can allow the bad guys to get malware into your machine. The third weapon in your defense against malware will be your security program on a windows machine like my favorite Kaspersky Internet Security, but you should also have a program that will help remove and cleanup any malware that your security program misses because they are not perfect, which I use is MalwareBytes-Anti-malware.

What is Malware and How to get rid of it

Malware is a any software, site or email that causes harm to your computer. The how to get rid of malware is a three step process,if you are using a windows computer that is, one is you have to have a active internet security program or a antivirus software. The second step is you should have a good anti-malware remover if you don't then I recommend Mal ware-Bytes Anti-Malware this is what will scan your computer for malware that your antivirus or internet security software might miss. The third step is your software on your computer must be checked to make sure its all up to date with no security holes, part of this is making sure your windows is up to date, but another part is all other software this can be a headache going from one program site to another and checking your version compared to the new one. One thing to make this super easy is to download a free program for windows computers called PSI its made by a security firm and is free at their site Secunia this will do most of the work for you it will scan your computer then let you know how many and what programs need updating.some will have auto update then some will give you a link that you can click to update.

zeek rewards suckered people in

I tried to warn a few people I know about Zeekrewards program but some signed up and put money in it anyway, well what I told them is what company closes support on the weekend? and what company that is legit has many links in their back office that leads to a non working page and where is their payment processor to pay their affiliates? These are some of the things you can check before jumping in on a home biz offer! so you will not meet the bad end of the stick you might say. Legit programs have payment processors like Payza which is kinda like paypal but for making money online. The best multi program system I have seen is Mymailboxincome the system is free and the programs are legit and been around for a while they will make you money and are good services and products that you will be proud of.

As reported by malwarebytes one of the best and trusted companies for computer security and spyware and malware removal recently did a report about the most malware removed in certain states and in this list California is number 1 and Florida is number 2. The most important thing is if you have a windows computer make sure it is protected and its updated. the next thing to do is make sure you have a good removal tool in addition to your internet security or antivirus software like malwarebytes anti-malware. The programs and operating system needs to be up to date as well because hackers and virus writers look for holes in your security and vulnerabilities in your software where they can find a way in,so do yourself a favor and keep your system updated. There is one company that makes software that will make checking and updating you software very easy and its free for personal us it is PSI by Secunia.

New way to get traffic

Don't forget your user names or passwords

A lot of sites require you to sign up with a email address and select a user name and password, to sign in to your account. Most people will not have a password manager this will usually mean a lot of people will forget their user name or password to get in to their account. The good news is that you can get a first class password manager and form filler for windows computers for about $10 a year now from Roboform, which use to be the best password manager I have used but now I use LastPass which is cross platform and free. There is other free alternatives and ones that will work with linux apple o/s and more like keepass password safe which is free, also their is a opera browser extension or add on that works with roboform. When trying to make money online you need a password manager so you let the software handle all of the accounts you only have to remember the master password to get in to the password manager and it also speeds up the process and fills in the forms for you at least roboform will.

How to fixes for dvdFlick

Sometimes problems like sound out of sync with the video or just plain video or dvd not working can have a easy solution. the first thing to do to prevent such problems is make sure your folder you create is on the main hard drive or another internal the reason is that you will have much greater transfer speed then with usb 2. Number 2 make sure your windows is up to date and your programs, windows is easy to make sure it is updated if auto updates is turned on,if not go to the control panel of windows and make sure its on. Your programs are not so easy to get updates for unless you have the free program Secunia PSI installed on your computer it will scan and check all your software for updates and some it will auto update for you. When you have issues with your video sometimes its the driver of your video to blame for it. There are easy ways to update drivers now if you have a nvidida or ATI based card or internal, just go to the site say ati which will be amd then go to and pick support and drivers then just select your card and operating system and go to your download recommendation. Another problem area for software is that its files get corrupted and then the only solution is to uninstall the software cleanup the registry afterword and then re-install the software making sure you install the latest version from the company site. Sometimes software works with other programs so make sure you have these and that they are updated an example is many programs run on adobe air so make sure this program is the current one you install. Software of some companies use services like framework so make sure this is updated too.

Test windows security software

I have run and used about all security and anti-spyware software there is and the one test you can use is do a scan with the best anti-malware product and do one in safe mode in windows, the product is Malwarebytes-anti-malware this has proved itself to be the best anti-malware out there for finding and removing infections on a windows pc. The best security software keeps your pc clean and removes malware and has the ability to clean up windows like disinfect and restore windows. One internet security suite I have tested that comes up with a clean scan from malwarebytes anti-malware is Kaspersky Internet Security. When you use your computer its best to have a paid product to protect you from the bad stuff, sure you might use a free anti-virus and get by but is it worth it when you have to pay hundreds of dollars in clean up or restoring your computer then losing important files like pictures and scanned documents? Test your anti-virus and anti-spyware today do a scan with malware-bytes anti-malware in safe mode with networking this is so very few programs load at startup but will allow malwarebytes anti-malware to update, run the scan if it finds loads of malware then you need better protection. Another way to keep your computer in top shape is make sure to not only update windows but also your programs too.

Almost all internet marketing guru's tell you the money is in the list but what they fail to tell you and teach you is organizing and using your email program properly. I am not just going to tell you I also have a video that shows you how to keep your email organized and use it correctly. Most good advertising companies tell you to use gmail, if you have to do businesslike email because of its high delivery rates. What Is White Listing A Email Address

Emails from some people or companies sometimes wind up in your spam folder even if they are from legit addresses. Spam that is from senders that force mail down our throats are often blacklisted meaning they are bounced away from most email addresses. White listing is telling your mail program that this sender is ok, the way this is done is by going into your email programs settings a making a filter to keep this address from ending up in the spam or junk folder. I have made a video tutorial on my youtube channel for creating a whitelist filter in gmail this will give you details on how its done you can find it at Thanks for reading and I hope this helps

The First Strategy to Make Money Online is Building a List

This strategy is the most important step to continue to make money long term. If you do not already have some type of auto responder system you need to get one to build a list. Don’t be cheap here either because your entire business will hinge on this one piece of software. You can build your list many different ways. You can buy leads from reputable list building companies and get them into your autoresponder. Most good list building companies will have an option to send an email to your autoresponder so you don’t have to manually input the lead’s information. Another effective way of building your list is from the traffic that visits your website. This step, which is probably the most effective and does require you to have a website in order to implement an opt-in list form unless you have a system like Of course if your Affiliate program does offer a list management service then you can send traffic to the affiliate URL, but I don’t recommend it as you will usually not be able to email the entire list with special offers. To make the most of your opt-in form and get the most sign ups when building your list, you should place it in your sales page text. It should be strategically located in the sales text after you present a problem. The title of your autoresponder email series should address the problem by offering a solution. In the example below we will assume that I am selling a hosting package and I want opt-in subscribers to my email course for back end sales. Example: You can use the pre built websites or build your own. Many people think that building a website is hard, but I can show you how easy it really is if you use PPMarketingCommision system. The second strategy to make money online is driving traffic to your website. When I say traffic, I don’t just mean any old traffic, I mean targeted traffic, people who are motivated and ready to buy can and will make you money. You can use programs and techniques such as Google Adwords blogging, article writing and linking to drive targeted traffic to your website and build your list. Google Adwords is a resource offered by Google in which you can pay for your site to be show when certain keywords are queried in their search engine. The secret to using Adwords is not to bid high on popular keywords. Instead what you do is find similar keywords that still describe your website, but are used much less frequent. These keywords will cost much less to bid on and will allow you to spread your money out over many different keywords, getting the most bang for your buck. You can use this handy little tool to find similar keywords:ht1 Blogging is another great way to drive targeted traffic to your website. To get the most out of this technique the blog should be hosted on the same website as the sales page witch links to our affiliate program. Once its setup all you have to do is fill your blog with good quality content will help build your list. I recommend writing your own content which specifically relates to your affiliate program and or products. Once you have some content you will need to submit your RSS feed to as many blog search engines as you can. This will put your blog out there for other webmasters to use as content feeds on their websites and a good squeeze page helps to build your list too. This win-win situation allows webmasters to have quality content on their website, which increases the value of that website while driving targeted traffic directly to you. This is done by the URL link that you conveniently placed under your name after the blog was written. That means that your link is on a blog feed that is on thousands of websites. Not only do people click those links but Google sees these links pointing back to you and thinks that you’re popular and you are rewarded with a higher page rank. Article writing is basically the same as blogging except the information in an article will need to have more useful content and be peppered with keywords that the webmasters are looking for. After completing your article you will submit (syndicate) it to content sites as opposed to blog search engines. Content sites are places where webmasters go to find specific content to offer their readers. If you are a good writer you may at some point build up a name for yourself and finagle a deal with a webmaster to write exclusives for his site. His readers get great exclusive content and you get highly motivated targeted traffic. Linking is perhaps the most widely used form of increasing traffic and page rank. However, if done incorrectly you could end up hurting your Google page rank and ultimately loosing potential buyers. You will need your own website for this technique as you will need a ‘links’ page to place your reciprocal links on. Many people go and submit their URL links to link farms in an attempt to trick Google into giving them a better page rank. This does NOT work; in fact Google has been known to penalize websites for engaging in the such activities. The secret to linking is to find websites in your niche market which have a Google page rank of 4 or above and enticing the web master to list your link on their website. You may think that you would be helping your competition, well you would be. But your competition would be helping you as well. It’s better to send leaving traffic to a partner than just having them close their browser window, and remember that works both ways. The strategies listed in this article do work and they will increase you sales and residuals it done correctly. Reciprocal linking, Blogging and Article writing are great ways to bring massive amounts of high quality targeted traffic to your website. Those strategies combined with an effective sales page with an integrated opt-in email list can make your business soar to new heights. You can and will make money with this system, Guaranteed

Photo Editing The Terminology

Photo Editing Overview Photo Editing Terms 1 - A To D Photo Editing Terms 2 - D To I Photo Editing Terms 3 - I To M Photo Editing Terms 4 - M To R Photo Editing Overview Photographs capture a moment in time. Photos are generally regarded as "factual," as opposed to a drawing or painting, which would be the artist's interpretation. Photos tend to be trusted more, because they accurately depict what was in front of the camera at the moment the picture was taken. At least, photographs are supposed to be accurate. How easy is it to edit a photo so that it shows something different than what really happened? The concept of photo editing is almost as old as photography itself. The first photographic images were recorded in the 1820s, and one of the first widely known edited photos was a portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Sometime in the 1860s, someone took a standing portrait of Southern Congressman John Calhoun, pasted in Lincoln's face from the portrait for the five dollar bill, and created a historic photo of Lincoln on the spot. Even an action as simple and innocent as cropping the picture can be controversial. Imagine a scene of the wreckage left by a tornado. If the photographer cropped out all of the damage, and focused instead on a single building that somehow survived, it would appear that the tornado hadn't damaged very much at all. In today's world of digital photography, some photo editing is necessary on nearly every picture. Digital cameras have to "guess" at the proper color, contrast, and shading of the pictures they take, and proper use of photo editing tools can correct or even enhance the camera's guesswork. At the same time, digital photographers must keep in mind that photography--especially journalistic photography--is meant to be a record of a moment in time, and not an artistic recreation of what the photographer wants his audience to see. While editing photographs has become quicker and easier, the temptation to alter the photographs has risen as well. Photo Editing Terms 1 - A To D Aperture The Aperture is the size of the opening in the camera lens at the moment a photo is taken. Aperture is measured in fractions, so the larger the number, the smaller the aperture opening. Shutter speed and aperture are the two primary controls for limiting the amount of light that hits the film or sensor. Application An Application is just another word for computer program. Browser A Browser is an application that allows the photographer to sort and rename the pictures in his or her collection. Burning Burning means darkening part of a photograph. In the darkroom, it's done by blocking some of the light that would normally reach the rest of the photo. In digital photo editing, it's usually a paintbrush-like tool built into the application. CD Compact Disks are the typical means of storing digital photographs. They hold about 700 megabytes of information, and can be CD-R for writeable CDs and CD-RW for re-writeable CDs. Cloning Cloning is an image editing term for copying one part of the image into another part of the same image or a different image entirely. It's used for painting out unwanted items, like electric lines. CMYK CMYK is an acronym for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. These are the four colors used in the standard printing process. It's also a color mode in photo editing programs. Compact Flash Compact Flash is one form of digital camera media. It was the original standard, and is still one of the most common formats. Cropping Cropping involves chopping out part of a picture. You might crop to focus attention on the real subject, or to remove extra stuff that intruded on the picture. DVD When it comes to storing digital pictures, a DVD is basically a monster-sized CD. It will hold over four and a half gigabytes of data. Photo Editing Terms 2 - D To I Dodging Dodging is making a section of a photo lighter. When this is done in the darkroom, it's usually by blocking some of the light from reaching that part of the picture. In a photo editing program, it's a paintbrush like tool that lightens instead of painting. Download Downloading is the opposite of uploading. Downloading means to pull data from another location. Normally it means to get data from the Internet, but in digital photography, it also means to get the pictures from the camera. Sometimes used interchangeably with Importing. DPI Most photo printers and monitors measure their resolution in Dots Per Inch, or DPI. The higher the number, the higher the resolution. EXIF EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image Format. Most digital images have two parts. The first is the image itself, which is usually stored as a JPG image. The second is the EXIF data. EXIF data most often includes all of the photographer's information, like the date and time the picture was taken and the shutter speed and aperture set at the time. Flip Flipping an image is the same as reflecting it in a mirror. Flipping is one of the basic image editing tools. Grayscale Technically speaking, a spectrum of gray shades from black to white. A grayscale picture is the digital equivalent of a black and white photo. Highlights The Highlights are the whitest part of a picture. Normally, they are a very small percentage of the picture, because it's very easy to lose details in highlights. Histogram A Histogram is a chart that graphs all of the tones in a photo. Most programs will generate histograms, and most digital cameras can create them also. Image File Format The format of an image file determines the size of the file, the overall image quality, and several other things. Common image file formats are JPG, GIF, TIFF, and PNG. Photo Editing Terms 3 - I To M Image Resolution The Resolution is the number of pixels, or dots, in a picture. Inkjet Printer An Inkjet printer sprays tiny jets of ink onto paper. ISO The sensitivity of film is measured by ISO, and the larger the number, the more senstive the film. ISO 100 needs a lot of light, like outdoors on a sunny day. ISO 1600 doesn't need much light. However, higher ISO means more grain in the film. Digital images borrowed the ISO scale to measure the sensitivity of a camera sensor. Just like the grain that's added to film at higher ISO settings, more "noise" is added to digital images at higher ISO. In general, as ISO goes up, quality goes down. JPG or JPEG The Joint Photographic Experts Group developed a method for making digital images smaller while sacrificing only a little bit of quality in the process. This is called JPG compression, and is the most common picture format on the Internet. Landscape The word landscape, like portrait, actually has two meanings. The first and original is the photography term for a picture of wide open spaces, like a mountain or sunset. The second meaning is a description of the alignment of a picture. Pictures that are oriented horizontally--with the narrow sides upright--are known as Landscape images, whether they depict a mountain or not. Layers Think of Layers as sheets of tracing paper or transparency film laid over top of your image. Graphic designers use layers to separate out elements of their project, so that they can work on individual pieces without damaging others. Adjustment Layers are a special kind of layer that shows the results of whatever filter or function is attached to that layer. Media Media is a technical term for storage. Compact disks, memory chips, even floppy disks, are all storage media. Removeable media is a chip or disk that can be moved from one computer to another without losing data. Photo Editing Terms 4 - M To R Megabyte A megabyte is generally about a million bytes, or a thousand kilobytes. Technically, a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes. Megapixel A megapixel is one million pixels, or dots. Megapixels are the de facto standard for measuring the power of a digital camera. Generally speaking, a four megapixel image can be printed at about 5x7 or perhaps even 8x10 without making the pixels so large it ruins the picture. Memory Stick (R) One brand of digital camera media. It looks like a small stick of chewing gum. Online Photo Printing Online Printers are Internet companies that allow their members to upload pictures for printing. Once the prints are done, the company then mails them to the customer. Panning Panning the camera involves following a moving subject while snapping the picture. Done properly, the subject will be sharp and the background behind it will be blurry. This technique can be duplicated by using a radial blur on the background in a photo editing application. Photochopping Also Photoshopping. Digitally altering a familiar photograph into a visual joke of some kind, usually by merging two pictures (like a shark and a rescue helicopter). Pixel Pixel is short for Picture Element, and it's basically a dot. All digital pictures are made up of these dots, and counting them is a measure of the image (pixels per inch, or PPI), print (dots per inch, or DPI), and camera power (millions of pixels or megapixels). Portrait The word Portrait actually has two meanings. The first and original is the photography term for a picture of a person. The second meaning is a description of the alignment of a picture. Pictures that are oriented vertically--with the long sides upright--are known as Portrait images, whether they depict a person or not. RAW RAW is the internal format of a digital camera. Many cameras "pre-process" images. They will do JPG compression, white balancing, and a number of other adjustments. The RAW image is the starting point for all of these. Digital photographers prefer to start from the RAW file so that they can make their own changes to these items.

Home Theater and Surround Sound

Home Theater System Common Surround Sound Formats Surround Sound Possibilities Surround Sound Speakers Home Theater System For a while, I have been dying for a home theater system. You see, I have a friend who has it all. He doesn't buy stuff to impress people – he just loves high-tech gadgets and has the money to spend on them. He has been working on his home theater systems gear for about three years now, and it is really coming together. He actually has the best home theater speaker system that I have ever seen, and his tv is not shabby either. He has one of those new widescreen TVs – not the newest ones, but the ones from a generation before. It is still extremely high resolution, and although it takes up a huge portion of the room, it is worth it. I have been saving up for the most perfect home theater system that I can find. You see, just for once I wanted to have the best one. My friend always has nicer stuff than I have. He wears better clothes, he drives a better car, and of course he has a better home theater system. He knows all about theater home system design as well. You see, and he is an acoustic engineer professionally, so he loves really high-quality audio gear. I know what TV I want to get, but I can't quite decide on home theater audio systems. What kind of home theatre system should I get? Part of me wants to get one of those over the top, extremely high powered home theater systems. I want to be able to turn up the sound as loud as I want and scare the neighbors. Another part of me, however, thinks that I'm getting too old for that. Rationally, I think it would be better served by a home theater system with flat-panel speakers. I have heard that that kind of home theater system delivers the best sound quality, which is kind of the whole point. The really tough thing is that there is nowhere I can try out a home theater system before I buy it. Oh sure, I can try it in the store, but the acoustics of the store have nothing in common with the acoustics in my house. How will I know if the home theater system will play the way I want it to if I don't get to listen to it inside? Oh well – sooner or later I'll make a decision. Common Surround Sound Formats In case you hadn't figured it out by now, surround sound is named as it is because the sound literally surrounds the listener. While there have recently been significant leaps and bounds in this technology there was a huge gap in time between the introduction of this technology and the significant improvements we have seen in recent years. This is especially true when the evolution of sound technology is compared to how fast the world of video has evolved over the last three decades. There are many different formats on the market today. This can be confusing for many consumers though the good news is that most devices that interpret the formats do so automatically. In other words, you won't need a PhD in terminology in order to enjoy the latest blockbuster hit to come out on DVD with your surround sound system. You will however need a good AV receiver and even better speakers in order to get the maximum enjoyment from your home theater and surround sound system. If you are simply curious or like to know a little about a lot, then you just might find some of the following explanations for common surround sound formats to be useful. Dolby Digital AC-3 is by far the most commonly seen surround sound format. It is a 5.1 channel format (this means five speakers plus one subwoofer). This is what most DVDs will include and some programs that are found on digital cable or satellite channels will have this type of surround sound as well. You can use Dolby Digital for older mediums that do not include surround sound in their format, as surround isn't required in order to use the system. Pro Logic is a system used by Dolby in order to translate or decode the signals from other mediums such as old videocassette tapes or television broadcasts. This is becoming widely known for its ability to take two speaker sounds and turn them into shockingly realistic surround imitations. DTS is the largest competitor for Dolby when it comes to sound. DTS is this company's answer to Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. This is mostly seen only on DVDs. DTS-ES is the above-mentioned company's answer to Dolby's 6.1 surround system (this is 6 speakers plus 1 subwoofer). Of course DTS is also going to have their own answer to Pro Logic and that answer would be DTS NEO:6, which is said to produce great imitations of surround sound from existing 2 channel mediums very much like Pro Logic. You may be wondering why we went through all of this information and the primary reason is so that you know there is a difference and you purchase equipment and DVDs that are compatible with one another. Failure to do so could result in a sound that is less than desirable. Most systems will at the very least support both Dolby Digital and DTS, however, you should make sure that you are aware of the format your system requires from the start in order to make the proper decisions when purchasing. Much like anything in life the proper formats and surround sound system comes down to a matter of choice. The more speakers (such as you would find in the 6.1 or 7.1 surround systems) will present a great quality of sound than fewer, however poor quality speakers can completely ruin the beauty of the sound of your surround sound system. Your speakers should be your single largest investment when it comes to building your ideal surround sound system. There are many things that go into creating not only the perfect surround sound system for your home but also the perfect surround sound set up. Do not get so caught up in researching these systems online that you neglect to walk into your local stores and actually hear the sound systems you are considering for purchase. There is noting like hearing the quality of the sound to help you make your final selection. Surround Sound Possibilities In case you are wondering why so many people make the investment in surround sound equipment, systems, and speakers there are many reasons for many different people. When it comes to surround sound, just as with many other things in life there is no one size fits all answer though for the most part the answer wouldn't be because Mr. Jones has one (well maybe for some it would but for the most part it has more to do with wanting the system for a specific reason). There are a few common reasons that people decide to invest in surround sound and home theater systems and we will explore a few of them over the course of the next few paragraphs. Perhaps you will find the inspiration to get a surround sound system of your very own. I will start with my very own personal reasons. First, when I was growing up my father was the manager of our local cinema. I spent many nights sleeping in the office and watching movies from the projector room and those are some of the fondest memories of my childhood. I will never forget watching The Return of the Jedi the night before it was released in the projector room with my father and a few members of the theater staff but there was nothing compared to watching the movies inside the auditorium. What was different? The sound. There is not enough that can be said about the quality of sound inside a theater and in days long past it simply couldn't be imitated at home. However technology has been evolving over the course of the last ten years that is allowing us to bring the same quality of sound into our homes for a reasonable price. That is reason enough for me-to relive fond childhood memories. Another excellent reason for bringing a surround sound system into your home is not so much for watching movies or enjoying the big screen as for the enjoyment of video games. Whether you are playing in the World of Warcraft or one of the many other wonderful worlds that have been created for online gaming enjoyment you will find that surround sound is a beneficial tool in keeping your character alive and intact. These games provide important clues that place you in the center of action with knowledge of what is going on around you if you take advantage of the audible clues, hints, and tips that are provided through ambient surround sounds. If the reasons above aren't enough to convince you to take a trip over to the bright side of the entertainment room, then perhaps the enhancements that surround sound provides to music will do the trick. Imagine hearing your favorite music with a fuller and richer sound, with the nuances completely defined and obvious to the ear. There is so much that can be said about the difference that surround sound makes (more with some types of music than others) and yet not enough that can be said about it. If you enjoy live recordings, imagine the ability to become a part of the crowd as the ambient sounds of being there fill your room. It's truly an amazing effect for music. As you can see there are many reasons to bring the wonders of surround sound into your home. I hope this article has shed some light on ways that it could improve your multimedia enjoyment and possibly given you some ideas for expanding your current use of your surround sound system. Surround Sound Speakers When you are building a home theater or surround sound system for your home there are many things that must be considered in order to create the best possible system and solution for the space you have in which to create it. We live in a world where floor space and real estate are premiums and we only give them up begrudgingly. It is very true that the best speakers on the market (even today) are generally stand speakers and they occupy a tremendous amount of prime real estate within your media room or home theater. For this reason we are seeing technological emphasis placed on improving speaker design and making them smaller more now than at any other time in the history of speakers. This is good news for you as a consumer since it means that there is both emerging technology in these smaller speakers and that you will see lower price in the race to create the best small speakers on the market. For many consumers this offers a win-win situation that is too tempting to pass when shopping. It is important however that you remember to see, or in this case hear, for yourself the quality of these smaller speakers before you make the rather sizeable investment that a good set of surround sound speakers will require. The good news for those of you are experiencing a little bit of sticker shock over the price tag is that speakers should be the largest investment you make in your total surround sound system by far. They are the most vital components to the overall sound and your entire investment will be wasted in your other equipment if you do not have superior quality speakers in your system. While the number of speakers will increase the quality and depth of the sound and the overall surround experience, good quality is more important than greater numbers, you can always add more speakers to your collection later. I do urge you to purchase the entire set together if possible however, if you can only purchase 6 (remember there's a subwoofer involved as well) rather than 8 at first, then I recommend that you do that rather than going with inferior quality in order to get two more speakers. If you do not purchase your speakers as a complete set you need to make sure that the speakers you purchase later are compatible with the speakers in your surround sound system. In most cases this isn't a problem if you purchase the same brand and style however if there has been a significant passage of time or shift in technology it could prove problematic. A typical set of speakers for a 5.1 channel surround sound system will include two channel speakers (front left and right), one front center channel speaker, two rear channel speakers (rear left and right) and a subwoofer. A 6.1 channel surround sound system adds one more speaker in the center rear and moves the rear left and right speakers of a 5.1 system to the side left and right respectively. A 7.1 channel surround sound system will add an additional rear speaker and have one on each side rather than one in the center. The sound is the most important feature of any surround sound system and there are many things that go into creating the perfect sound. When it comes to home theaters and surround sound systems the only way to know for sure that you will be getting what you want for your space is to listen to the sound. You may find that what sounded like sound nirvana in the sound room doesn't ring so true in your living room. Make sure that the store or website from which you are purchasing has a liberal return policy on components and speakers-especially speakers as they are the most costly components of your surround sound system and the most expensive to replace.

Super Easy Video Driver Updates

The Driver update process in the past was never a easy one, sometimes taking hours to do, and a lot of research to boot. This driver update process has evolved to just a few clicks with certain hardware like Video cards made by AMD or ATi and Nvidia if you are lucky enough to own one of these type of video cards you will have a very easy time updating your drivers. ATI which is owned by AMD is one of the largest and best video card manufacturers out there and as long as you have java installed they can scan your pc for the video and recommend the best drivers for your card and download them, making a once hard and tedious job super easy. Nvidia also has this new scan your pc for video drivers also as long as you have a built in nvidia chip that you are using for your monitor. The process is something like this you go to then pick your area like north america then usa, then the third step pick nvidia drivers below that look for Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products then select then allow the file to download and install to scan your computer. These are the same for an amd or ati video card but the address will be if these options do not come up you will have to install java first.

10 Tips For Buying The Right Printer

Consider the printer’s DPI (dots per inch) capability, which is the resolution at which it can print photos and documents. The higher DPI (dots per inch) you have, the better quality you will have in either text or photo printouts. Consider the cost of ink. When purchasing a new printer, take a moment to compare prices among ink cartridges and make sure that you can afford frequent ink purchases if you plan to do a lot of printing. Take a look at the connector and make sure it’s compatible with your system. Most new printers connect via a USB port. Older ones connect using a parallel port, which is not commonly found on new PCs. When looking at the cost of ink, also look at the number of pages a single ink cartridge can print. If the page count is high, the cost of the ink may be reasonable. If the page count is low compared to other similar ink cartridges, you may want to select another printer that offers a better performing ink cartridge. Check out the warranty. All new electronics, including printers, carry a manufacturer’s warranty. Depending on the company, warranties can be valid anywhere from 90 days to 1 year and may include defects in material and/or workmanship. If your printer fails to perform correctly and develops a problem while under warranty, you will be glad that you saved the paperwork. Always keep the original purchase receipt and warranty information relating to your purchase. Buy from a name that you trust. When shopping for any item, it is best to purchase from a manufacturer that you know produces a quality product and especially when it comes to a substantial electronics purchase. Consider the size and weight of the printer. This is important for both cleaning general convenience. If your desk is small, you may not want a bulky printer taking up most of your space. At the same time, you may not want to lift on a heavy piece of equipment when cleaning your work station. A lightweight and compact style may be better, especially if your office is at home. Make sure that your computer is capable of running the printer software, which means it may require a specific processor type and speed, available memory, etc. Make sure that the printer you purchase has all of the features and capabilities that you need. For instance, if your primary goal is to produce realistic photos and you also plan to print written documents from time to time, consider the purchase of a photo printer. You can change the quality of printing to suit either images or documents or even a combination of both if you plan to print photo newsletters. Make sure that the printer has all of the necessary connector cables and that you will not need to buy any additional hardware prior to finalizing your purchase. If you need to purchase a USB cable, which is often the case with many new printers, you will want to purchase it at the same time to save on shipping if ordering online or having to make a special trip if you purchase locally.

How a Internet Router Works

If you've been brought up in the 21st century then you probably take a lot of things for granted that 30 years ago people just didn't have. One of those things is the Internet and its ability to be able to connect people from all over the world and allow them to interact with each other in a variety of ways including sending email, visiting web sites, joining forums, attending online chats and countless other things. But none of this would be possible if it weren't for a device that most people have never seen and probably don't even know exist, called a router. Routers are pieces of equipment that send messages from everyone connected to the network along thousands of different pathways. We're going to take a behind the scenes look at exactly how these routers work. Let's say you're sending an email to a friend of yours who is living across country or even in another part of the world. How does the email know to end up on your friend's computer instead of all the other millions of computers all over the world? A good part of the work to get these messages from one computer to another is handled by routers. Rather than pass messages within networks, routers pass messages from one network to another. To get an idea of how this works, let's take a very simple example. Let's say you have two departments. Department A with 5 employees and Department B with 5 employees. Let's say that Employee 1 from Department A wants to send an email to Employee 3 at Department B. Each department is part of its own network of computers. A router links the two networks together so that they can communicate with each other. It is the only piece of equipment that sees both networks. Many people ask, why not just make one network? The simple answer is that if the two departments do two completely different jobs for the company and send massive amounts of info within the department, you don't want to slow down the other department with the one department's info. To ease what they call the "traffic burden" the two departments are separated into two networks with a router put between them to connect them just in case they do want to communicate for some reason. The way the router knows what to send where is with what is called a configuration table. These configuration table consists of info on which connections lead to which addresses, priorities for each connection, and rules for how to handle the passing of info between networks. The router then has two basic jobs. The main task is to make sure that information doesn't go where it's not needed so that the volume of data doesn't clog up the network and the next task is to make sure the information goes to where it's supposed to go. To simplify how this happens, the router looks at the destination address of each packet sent from the source location. It checks its table to see where this address is and sends each packet to that address, bypassing all the other addresses in the network so as not to slow the network down. In future articles we'll take a more in depth and technical look at how packets are actually routed. Get on your thinking gear for this one.

Just What Is a USB Hub Anyway

Since the mid 90's we have seen the birth and growth of a connective technology called Universal Serial Bus (USB). Originally designed to connect computers and telecoms equipment, it has slowly become the primary means of connecting a whole host of other devices and has made significant contributions to today's IT world. The sheer number of USB products on the market today is just staggering, from mice and keyboards, modems, external hard drives to USB fans, lights and coffee cup warmers! Most external computer related devices today connect to a computer via a USB port. So it's no wonder that before long, most computer users find themselves wondering what to do when the USB ports (sockets) on their computer are all used. There are two solutions to the problem, constantly plug and unplug connectors when swapping between USB devices, or invest in a simple, low cost device called a USB Hub. A USB Hub is a small unit with two or more USB ports, which plugs into an USB port on your computer, allowing you the freedom to connect more USB devices without disconnecting others. Expanding the number of USB ports of your computer in this way not only saves wear and tear on your USB ports and connectors, but also puts and end to all that clambering around behind your PC! Generally speaking, there are four types of available: 1. Internal USB PCI Card An internal PCI USB Card needs to be installed by opening up the case of your PC and inserting a card into a vacant PCI slot on the motherboard, this type of USB expansion is not advised unless you are familiar with working with and inside computers. If you have the older USB1.1 and upgrade to USB2.0, your version of Windows will also need to be updated so that your PC can support USB2.0 functionality. 2. USB Hub (Non Powered) An external non-powered USB Hub is a cheap and simple device that plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports and that's all there is to it. These are usually very compact and so make ideal solutions for mobile users with laptops and for desktop users. Be aware that some USB devices require a small amount of power through the USB port, usually mechanical devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras and so on. This type of USB Hub may not be able to supply adequate power to these devices especially if you are using a few USB devices together. 3. Powered USB Hub An external Powered USB Hub is also compact and plugs directly into one of your computer's existing USB ports, so again there is no need to open up your computer to install it. The only difference is that the Powered Hub comes with a separate power supply that must be plugged into the mains socket, supplying the power to all the USB ports on the hub allowing ANY type of USB devices to function properly. Most Powered Hubs come with a sensible length of USB cable allowing the Hub itself to be positioned in a more accessible place e.g. on top of your computer or on your desk, making plugging and unplugging USB devices much easier. This makes the Powered Hub the all round best solution for desktop computer users. 4. USB PC Card If you use a Laptop and are on the move, you have an additional choice to the USB Hub, the USB PC Card also known as the PCMCIA USB Card. This device slots into the PCMCIA slot/port found on the side of a Laptop and instantly provides two extra USB ports without using up any of your existing USB ports on the Laptop. This is the most popular solution for mobile Laptop users. When buying a suitable external USB Hub, consider the location of your computer's USB ports. If they are located at the back of your computer or in an awkward position, you can make your life so much easier by using a USB Hub that comes with a USB extension cable, or by buying a separate USB extension cable. This allows the USB Hub to be positioned to a more accessible place for plugging and unplugging your USB devices.
